"I first attended the club in April 2008, I was so impressed I joined the following month. As I suffer from Arthritus in my lower back I needed to try and get more mobile.
From day one the help and encouragement I have received from the staff has been brilliant, it has given me a new piece of life. I can't thank them enough!" Gary Omeara - Bawtry
"I started training at the gym because I felt the need to explore my new movement patterns that my phsio had given me. I can definitely see many positives since joining the gym and it is down to me to utilize my movements but not over do it.
Training under the supervision of Luke Walker at the gym and with the advice of my physio we are achieving many goals and increasing my overall health and fitness which is giving me more energy to live my life." Nikki Webber - Bircotes
"The attention and advice which I received from Barrie Windle has been unsurpassed in my experience of physiotherapists over the years and I would certainly not hesitate to reccomend 'Baz' to anyone in need of therapy." Bob Ayre - Bessacarr
"My wife, my sons and I were among the first new members of the studio, and have used it regulary ever since. We were intitialy attraced by its geographical convinience, but have continued to use it because of its good facilities, its convivial atmosphere, and the friendly advice and instruction available. I am not exactly in the first flush of youth, but my regular sessions keep me feeling like an adolescent pensioner rather that an geriatric pensioner.
A recent innovation has been the availability of the K -Test that identifies dietary constituents to which individuals may be unusually 'sensitive' or 'intolerant'. I took the test and, unlike most people, had a number of 'red alerts' in my profile. However, I recognised that I was experiencing some of the corresponding adverse effects described. I modified my diet accordingly, and the bad effects diminished; furthermore, my follow up test confirmed that there were no 'intolerances' and that the 'sensetivities' were under control. This was a thoroughly worthwhile exercise." Hugh Morgan - Misson
"I joined Bawtry Health & Fitness Studio in August 2007 after buying 10 session cards beforehand as a trial. I am still a member which is an achievement for me, I have joined one or two gyms in my time and have never really stuck to it.
I have an array of reasons for joining... to improve overall fitness, to tone up and simply to feel healthier to name but a few.
This time round my motivation for making exercise part of my routine is high. This is partly due to my personal circumstances but also has a lot to do with the gym and the team. I am never under pressure to do to much and likewise I get as much help and assistance as I need. The team has a real professionalism and at the same time a warm friendliness that makes you feel welcome.
If I want to just exercise, I am left alone to do just that, if I need help, a new programme, some motivation or support then I ask and I get it.
On average I attend 3 times per week and because of this I feel stronger, healthier and have more energy. My job means I drive long distances daily and entertain customers, which means eating out a lot. I couldn't do this long term if I did not do the exercise. Being 30+ has brought this home to me! Thank goodness for Luke!" Debbie Horan - Bawtry
